Young Professionals make Impact on more than 35 Nonprofits

Pittsburgh Young Professionals bring together members to meet with Pittsburgh’s nonprofits and community organizations to make a lasting impact in our region.

PITTSBURGH – Pittsburgh Young Professionals (PYP) welcomes over 35 of Pittsburgh’s nonprofits and community organizations to its Third Annual Volunteer Fair from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 19 at the Energy Innovation Center.

Young professionals new to the city and looking to improve the community are encouraged to attend. With so many organizations in Pittsburgh seeking volunteers PYP’s Community Outreach Committee designed an annual event aimed to bridge the gap between the needs of our city and the abilities of our young professionals. Now in its third year, the event is larger than ever. In addition to learning about local volunteer opportunities, attendees will have the chance to win Pittsburgh goodie baskets while enjoying light appetizers.

PYP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing career-minded individuals with networking opportunities to develop socially, professionally and civically. Membership to PYP is an affordable $70 annually and includes access to 600+ young professionals and 45 events. Eligible members also have the opportunity to apply for the annual scholarship. The only requirement to join or attend an event is that members must be 21 years or older.

Registration is required for PYP’s Third Annual Volunteer Fair. This event is free and open to the public. Space will fill up quickly. To attend visit: http://members.pyp.org/event-3457810
